Old Has-Beens,
                we get better every year
'Is football playing
Along the river shore,
With lads to chase the leather,
Now I stand up no more?'
Ay, the ball is flying,
The lads play heart and soul ...

This is an accomplishment, to say the least - right up there with his shortstop acrobatics and power hitting from fifty years ago on that wonderful Taylor Stadium field. As I remember Pete was in the College of Business. As the caption says, the Bennett Chair is the first in the College of Education. I recall that Walley and I were the only Education majors from our group, along with Arbo. Quite a stellar group if I must say, and only fitting that the College gets its first chair from our shortstop. Many congrats!
